Toula Portokalos is 30, single, and works in her family’s restaurant. She believes she was put upon this earth for three purposes: to marry a Greek man, to have Greek children, and to feed everyone until the day she dies. When non-Greek Ian Miller (played by John Corbett) walks in, Toula instinctively knows he’s not for her. But they fall in love and get engaged, and a hilarious set of events occurs. This movie celebrates culture and tradition.
